Big Mama's PCB is at 10071 Hutchison Blvd, inland from Front Beach Road and about 3 minutes away by car. Lunch and dinner daily from 11 to 9, brunch weekends from 9. One street back from the beach

Hutchison Blvd runs inland from Front Beach Road on our end of town. The nearest stretch of Front Beach Road is 1.3 miles and about 3 minutes from our door, by way of Richard Jackson Boulevard. The M.B. Miller County Pier on Front Beach Road at Bahama Beach is 1.8 miles, about 4 minutes, using Alf Coleman Road.

Being a street back means you trade a Gulf view for a parking lot that actually has spaces.

Off the strip, not out of the way

If you are walking back from the pier with sandy kids, a short drive gets you to a dining room with plenty of big tables and a $10 kids plate: tenders, fish, a smash burger or shrimp.

We call the menu Coastal Country. Fried chicken and country fried steak from our Panama City kitchen, plus catfish and shrimp po'boys, a grouper BLT and shrimp n' grits.

Start with fried green tomatoes for $14 or catfish nuggets for $12, the kind of thing you split at a table of six. The tuna dip is $16 and the pimento fritters are $13. Then pick a plate and two $4 sides.

The old Applebee's, made over

Locals remember 10071 Hutchison Blvd as the old Applebee's. We gutted the dark out of it and opened Big Mama's PCB in 2026. The room is light and clean now, and people who remember the old place say so. The bar is full: draft beer, wine, cocktails and margaritas.
