Fried chicken and the plates

Bone-in fried chicken starts at $15 and is the plate reviewers order twice. Chicken fried chicken and country fried steak are $16, the pork chop is $17. The Big Papa Platter is $28 if you cannot decide. Prime rib is on the menu from $30.

Coastal Country seafood

Catfish po'boy and shrimp po'boy are $15 each. The grouper BLT is $19. Shrimp and grits is $22, the shrimp dinner $20, redfish $26. Catfish nuggets to start are $12.

Wings, burgers and starters

Ten wings for $16. The Coastal Smashburger is $16. Fried green tomatoes, fried pickles, gizzards, tuna dip. The pimento fritters are fried pimento cheese you dip in pepper jelly, $13, and people who try them tend to mention them.

Specials are served with two sides, and a third is $2 more. When we're out, we're out. No prices are posted, so ask or call.

Sides are $4. Mac and cheese, mock shoe, collards, black eyed peas, lima beans, fried okra, cheese grits, mashed potatoes, dumplings. Cornbread is $2. The veggie plate is $12.

Peach cobbler comes with homemade whipped cream. Bread pudding, pecan pie and strawberry shortcake are the other three, all $8. Kids tenders, fish, smash burger or shrimp are $10. Hours are posted but still being confirmed, so call first if you are driving far.
