The week, day by day

Every special is served with two sides, and you can add a third for $2. When we are out, we are out, so the earlier you come the better your odds. This is the lineup from our printed specials board.

• Monday: Meatloaf
• Tuesday: Beef Tips over Rice
• Wednesday: Baked Chicken N' Dressin'
• Thursday: Chicken N' Dumplins'
• Friday: Chicken N' Rice, and Prime Rib 4 PM to close
• Saturday: Brunch, and Prime Rib 4 PM to close
• Sunday: Brunch, and Fish or Fish/Shrimp

Prime rib nights

Friday and Saturday from 4 PM until close, prime rib is on. It starts at $30 on the regular menu. It runs while it lasts, so come early if it is the reason you are coming.

Picking your two sides

Sides are the reason people come back. Mac and cheese, mock shoe, collards, green beans, black eyed peas, lima beans, fried okra, cheese grits, cole slaw, dressing and dumplings are all on the list. Cornbread is $2 on the side and one reviewer called it the best they have had in a restaurant.

Asking what is left

Late in the day, call (850) 588-5085 before you drive over and ask what is left. If you want the special to go, call it in or order ahead on Toast and pick it up at the host stand. It comes with the same two sides either way.

Weekends and the rest of the menu

Saturday and Sunday open at 9 with brunch: biscuits and gravy, chicken n' waffles, the Big Mama plate. Sunday adds fish or fish and shrimp. If the special is gone, the full menu is always there: fried chicken, country fried steak, po'boys, shrimp and grits and redfish. Kids plates are $10. Order the special ahead on Toast if you want to be sure of it.
