Fried chicken by the tray is the easy answer for an office. Country fried steak and chicken fried chicken are the other two plates people ask for. For a lighter order, the handhelds work: catfish po'boy, shrimp po'boy, chicken sandwich and the coastal smashburger.

Sides are where people start arguing. Mac and cheese, mock shoe, collards, green beans, black eyed peas, lima beans, fried okra, cheese grits and dressing are all on the menu, and cornbread goes with every one of them.

The daily special as a group order

Our daily special is a meat with two sides, and it changes by the day. Tuesday is beef tips over rice and Thursday is chicken and dumplings. If your lunch meeting lands on one of those days, ask about building the order around it. When we are out, we are out, so call early.

Who we cook for

Office lunches along Hutchison Blvd are on our catering list. Our kitchen opens at 11 every day, so a lunch order fits our normal day. If you have eaten here, the trays taste the same as the plates.

Booking, pickup and price

Call the restaurant and tell us the date, how many people, and what time you eat. We will tell you what we can do, what it costs and when to come by. We do not post catering prices because every order is different. Pickup is at 10071 Hutchison Blvd, with a big free lot out front. Delivery is something to ask about when you call.

Desserts are made in-house. Peach cobbler and bread pudding come by the pan.
