A rehearsal dinner that feels like family

A beach wedding weekend usually starts with a dinner for the people who flew in. Southern home cooking fits that night better than a plated menu. Fried chicken and country fried steak are what people remember, and chicken and dumplings is the one somebody's grandmother will ask about.

Gulf seafood is the beach half of our kitchen. Shrimp fits a coastal wedding, and other seafood is by request, so ask when you call.

What to put on the table

A rehearsal dinner order from us is the same food we serve, by the tray. Sides do the heavy lifting: mac and cheese, mock shoe, collards, green beans, black eyed peas and dressing. Cornbread goes with all of it. For dessert, peach cobbler and bread pudding come by the pan, and both are made in-house.

Hosting the dinner at the restaurant

Some couples would rather bring everyone to us. The dining room in the old Applebee's building is light and clean now, with plenty of big tables, a full bar with draft beer, wine, cocktails and margaritas, and a big free lot for guests driving in from different condos. We are walk-in, so call ahead to talk through a big group. Parties of 6 or more carry an 18% gratuity.

Booking the date

Wedding weekends are planned months out, and we would rather hear from you early. Call with the date, the headcount, and whether you want the food picked up, brought to your venue, or served at the restaurant. We will tell you what we can do and what it costs. We do not post catering prices because every dinner is different.
